Pulsescan.live to explore the Pulsechain blockchain

Latest News

A blockchain explorer is a fundamental tool that plays a crucial role in understanding and navigating the decentralized landscape. Explorers or scanners serve as a window into the intricate workings of a blockchain, offering users and developers a means to explore, analyze, and verify activity on the network. Pulsechain has now a new explorer coming from the HowToPulse team and it’s called pulsescan.live previously called  HTP Scan.

What is a pulsescan.live

Pulsescan.live is an interface that lets you check addresses, transactions, contacts, and the state of the blockchain. Pulsechain has other scanners, but the HTP Scan is very clear and easy to understand.

The official Pulsechain scan has become decentralized, and users need to run it on their own device to be able to access it. The advantages are privacy and censorship resistance, as well as permanent accessibility.

Otter scan is also frequently used, but it doesn’t readily give essential information in the same way pulsescan.live does, and it shows only the last block when it comes to general blockchain data, which is very limiting for a blockchain explorer.

The main page of pulsescan.live shows a large search bar where the user can input the address, transaction hash, token name, or block number, and he’ll be shown all relevant information. One of the interesting things that can be found on the home page is the gas tracker, which shows the actual gas cost, the number of daily transactions, current network utilisation, and the total number of wallet addresses created so far. Interestingly, the total number of total transactions on Pulsechain surpassed 1 billion recently.

Search for the token

Searching for the token is very easy. It’s enough to insert the token name in the search bar, and it will show the token with the contract address and a green tick for a verified contract. If it’s a legit token, it will usually have that green tick; however, to be really sure if the token is the one you’re searching for, it’s better to verify if the contract address matches the one you want to interact with. You’ll usually find this information on the official website of the project.

The token page will show you the number of holders, so it’s easy to see token distribution as well as the maximum total supply, transfers, and contract code.

When you look for an NFT, it’s also easy to find it. Insert the contract address or the NFT collection name. You’ll be met with a list of tokens, so always verify the contract address. In this example, it’s possible to see that Crypto Bums shows different tokens, and the first one shows first because of the number of holders, but it’s not the project we’re looking for. There is another Crypto Bums project with the ticker CBUMS, but it’s still not the one we are interested in. The real Crypto Bums, which give you permanent passive income from the NFTOnPulse marketplace, have the ticker name CBUM, and the contract address is 0x195600418eaeFe1D0E7a5BC1e0378DDE3f0BE253. You can see that the contract code of all three projects is verified and has a green tick next to it, but without the exact contract address, it’s very difficult to discern which one is the token you want to interact with. Cross-verification with the official website and their social media channels is essential.

The NFT collection page shows all the NFTs that have been minted so far. Max total supply will show the total of NFTs issued so far as well as holders.

By clicking on the individual token ID under the image, it’s possible to see details like description, attributes, or transfers.

Search Pulsechain by address

A search by address shows the essential information right away. It’s possible to see the balance, tokens owned by that address, the number of transactions, transfers made, total gas used, and the block of the last balance update. Then, if more information is needed, below is a list of the address-state changes.
