Do you want to convert your PLS, PLSX, or other PRC20 tokens to cash? Great! This blog post will guide you through the process of transferring your PRC20 assets from the PulseChain network to Ethereum.

Official PulseChain Bridge

For a robust blockchain, a dependable bridge is necessary.

A bridge enables the transfer of “value” between different chains by converting tokens from one chain into a “wrapped” version on another chain. When a token is committed to the bridge, it generates a wrapped version on the other chain that retains the same value in US dollars as the original.

For instance, to bridge USDC from Ethereum to Pulsechain, you can send 1 USDC to the Ethereum bridge, which will produce 1 ‘eUSDC’ on Pulsechain. The prefix in the ticker denotes the originating chain, and the eUSDC is worth one dollar. You can then use the eUSDC’s value for trading on Pulsechain.

During the initial days of the PulseChain launch, there was no link to any US-dollar market. Consequently, no asset on PulseChain had a US-dollar valuation, and trading within the network depended solely on ratios. However, an Ethereum-Pulsechain bridge (PulseRamp.com) is now operational, and all assets on the network acquired a US-dollar value.

What is PulseRamp.com?

PulseRamp enables the transfer of value between different blockchain networks. This process involves converting tokens from one chain into a wrapped version on another chain that retains the same US dollar value as the original.

PROPER PulseChain NOMENCLATURE

HEX on Ethereum (native) = HEX
HEX on Pulsechain (native, ie the ‘forked’ tokens) = HEX
HEX bridged from Ethereum to Pulsechain (so, ‘wrapped’) = eHEX
HEX bridged from Pulsechain to Ethereum (so, ‘wrapped’) = pHEX

How does PulseRamp work?

PulseRamp is now fully functional on both the ETH mainnet and PulseChain mainnet. This means that you’re able to transfer real USD value in and out of the network through bridging.

If you want to transfer an asset from Ethereum to PulseChain select Ethereum as your network. After connecting to PulseRamp, select the asset you want to bridge from the “From”.

Let’s get started:

Official PulseRamp: https://pulseramp.com

STEP 1: CONNECT

Connect your wallet to PulseRamp and ensure that you have selected the correct network.

STEP 2: SWAP

Once you have selected the asset, specify the amount you want to bridge over.

Bridge Fee is 0.3%.

For example, if you want to send 100 USDC from Ethereum, you will receive 99.7 USDC on PulseChain.

STEP 3: SWITCH

If you bridged USDC from Ethereum to PulseChain, you need to switch your MetaMask or other wallet to PulseChain to see your tokens. When the traffic on a bridge is very congested it may take a long time to clear up the transaction and visualize the balance, but in normal conditions it should work quite quickly.

If, in turn, you bridge assets from PulseChain to Ethereum then you will need to press the Claim button after you switch to the Ethereum network in your MetaMask.

STEP 4: IMPORT TOKENS

  1. Open Metamask
  2. Check your Network ( PulseChain )
  3. Click on the “Assets” tab at the bottom of the window.
  4. Click on the “Import Tokens” button.
  5. In the “Token Contract Address” field.
  6. Copy the token you want to add from below.

It’s possible to watch live on Etherscan bridge deposits and the total amount of value locked.

It needs to be understood that after you cross the bridge, you need to have the native currency of the chain you want to operate in. If you brought tokens from Ethereum to PulseChain, you will need PLS to pay for transaction fees. Right now, the only way to get it is through other people giving out their PLS tokens for free or exchanging them for other tokens or coins. You will need to head to Twitter Spaces hosted by community members, Telegram groups or ask some friendly Pulsicans elsewhere. This situation will probably not last too long.
